We travelled to Ryde on the 8th June to play our perpetual rivals and to try to put an end to a run of bad results against them in recent years.
Chris Emms with David Brown, Peter Svensden and Norman Cooper started slowly and remained in low gears through out the afternoon, ending up with a disappointing loss 7-26. Dave Wolton with Bill Murphy, Martin Ward and Stewart Small after a slow start soon continued their good recent form and took control of the closing ends, winning 18-16.
Tim Blow with Steve Day, Mike Skipp and Gerald Rees were 6 shots behind after 15 ends but came storming through to level the match with a selection of draw shots to end all square 16-16.
