It is thanks to a good turn out of the Green Team, plus a number of welcome volunteers that this morning three cubic metres, weighing three Tonne, of topsoil were spread along the depressions in the green.
The depressions are caused by subsidence along the trenches where drainage was inserted into the green a number of years ago. They generated an extra challenge to this year’s bowling and this activity should improve the surface for next season.
It yet again proved “many hands make light work” and we should all be grateful to the workers.
My thanks
