Wednesday 14 May was the first home game of the season and was against Shanklin E.
Rink 1 – Bernie, Ian, Trevor and Tim got off to a shaky start, then got it together after the 6th end. After tea the score was Bembridge 10 Shanklin 14. They didn’t score another point finishing 25 to 14. And a very unusual card with a complete positive score for us after tea.
Rink 2 – Jeff, Ross, Gordon and John Hy. Started off well with a score of 12-4 at teatime. Bembridge going on to win 20-15.
Rink 3 – Bill M, Richie, Norman O & Paul M. Close game and still 22 – 22 after 20 ends. Bembridge lost the last end, ending up 22-25.
Overall score Bembridge 67, Shanklin 54. 8 Points to us.
