The hardy finalists faced the weather, torrential rain and very strong winds on Sunday and Monday while the spectators (very sensibly) sat inside the clubhouse keeping dry!
The sun came out on the last day (Tuesday) much to everyone’s relief.
The standard of bowling produced many excellent close games with a win often happening on the last bowl of the game.
The ladies champion was Gay Allen and the men’s champion was Bill Silvester and after a very hard fought match between them, Gay finally emerged as the Champion of Champions.
