Tuesday 16 June was a classic summer day, the green had been cut earlier, and all was set for a home match against Ryde C.
On Rink 1 Jeff P, Bill M, John Hol and Gordon had a close game until they lost a 6 on the ninth end. Then a further 4 on the twelfth opened a gap they were unable to close. Finishing 15 – 27.
Bernie, Trevor, Paul C and Tim made a slow start losing the first four ends. They set about clawing their way back taking the lead on the thirteenth, a lead they gradually increased finishing 21-15.
On Rink 3 Derek, Paul M, Norman O and Kev took a small lead which Ryde overturned on the eighth. They held the lead until the pendulum swung back in Bembridge’s favour on the sixteenth. In the final change of lead Ryde took back the last two ends winning 16 – 20.
